Monaco’s Milano Model Showcases Casual Sophisticated Living

Bonita Springs, FL (February 27, 2009) - The Milano, one of two new villa models recently introduced by AMA Development at Monaco in Bonita Springs, features dramatic bold colors and an interior design that showcase a floorplan interior designer Lise Fitzpatrick characterizes as "spacious and perfect for entertaining."

The designer, owner of Lise Fitzpatrick Interiors (LFI), approached the two-bedroom plus den home's 1,600 square feet of air-conditioned living area by imagining how its residents, "perhaps a couple from the North enjoying their new vacation home," might live in the space. Fitzpatrick, who relocated to Florida from Avon, Connecticut, incorporated touches like darker wood flooring and furnishings as well as rich fabrics into her design to relate to homebuyers who might be relocating here. "Many new homebuyers have personal furnishings that they want to bring into the design of their new Florida home and I like to demonstrate how beautifully it can be done," said Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick credits AMA Development, the community's builder and developer, with creating floorplans that live much larger and are much more luxuriously appointed than a typical villa residence. For example, Fitzpatrick says Milano's gourmet kitchen is "far from your typical galley kitchen," and points out that features such as raised-panel antique white painted maple cabinetry, contrasting Uba Tuba granite countertops and an elegantly designed tile backsplash, showcase the home's great use of space and demonstrate just some of the luxury features included in the price of each home at Monaco that are often offered as upgrades in other communities. The home's kitchen is open to a large great room and dining area with built-in dry bar and wine storage.

The home's spacious master suite features twin walk-in closets and an elegant bath with private water closet, two separate vanities, and a large shower with pretty tile inlays. A hand-painted mural featuring a wading bird offers a dramatic focal point and is one of the touches of whimsy Fitzpatrick incorporated into the Milano's design that serve as the model's memory points.

The Milano model also features a den with hickory wood floors that has been furnished with a bamboo canopied daybed, rattan and leather furniture and an armoire desk, demonstrating the room's versatility as an office that can easily be converted into a guest space for company.

The home's design also offers a second bedroom and bath, and a laundry and utility room that leads to the home's two-car garage. The Milano model is shown with an optional screened pool. Base price for the Milano is $239,900. The model as shown is offered at $349,900 furnished.
